In the lead up to the release of Noughts + Crosses, Jaël was commissioned by the BBC to illustrate portraits of the main characters Sephy, Callum and Jasmine. With access to references from the series ahead of release, she was able to jump into the story, pulling out key references that would go on to inspire her illustrations. Sparking conversation in the comments, these illustrations brought excitement amongst Noughts & Crosses fans.
